Poltrona Frau + UNICEF

Poltrona Frau + UNICEF

3 Armchairs, 1 Gesture for 1 Mission. Zero is possible.

3 special armchairs produced as a limited, numbered edition. 1 mission, to zero infant mortality worldwide. 1 special gesture, like the Archibald 2011 Special Edition Armchairs, 1 concrete aid to UNICEF for the development of the Believe in Zero project, Zero is possible.

Archibald 2011 Special Edition. Elegance and Perfection between the sky and the ground.

3 armchairs, 3 colours, 3 upholsteries exalting in the capacity of Poltrona Frau know- how. Nuances expressing a love for the natural material and sought- after detail. The totally white leather armchair is both exquisite and poetic like the white snowflake. For the high armchair with leather and velvet pouf the materials are deep and immense as the blue of the clam sea. As for the ram leather armchair it depicts the warmth and honesty of the land that has just been sown.
The enveloping design is exalted by the free play of softness created by the upholstery over the entire interior of the backrest, making it pleasantly undulating and welcoming. Artisan mastery and precious contrast stitching give a note of refined elegance. Every detail of the construction has been executed with care and attention to ensure a generous, comfortable seating experience. The backrest and seat frame is in steel with polyurethane foam padding, moulded, with polyester wadding in the zones where more comfort is needed. Suspension is provided by elastic strips. The base is made up of four cast aluminium feet with a tubular steel frame in a gunmetal grey and white lacquered finish.

3 Programs. 1 Mission. Zero is possible.

Believe in Zero. We want Zero. Every day we can potentially offer 22 000 children a better life. It is about helping children living in areas of poverty that are left behind in the race of life. Mosquito nets especially treated to keep insects away, vaccination doses against polio, measles and tetanus and anti- parasite treatments to protect the children from intestine diseases can save precious lives. Zero is possible. Each Archibald 2011 Special Edition armchair is associated with one of these 3 types of interventions.

Each example of the Archibald Special Edition is unique and unrepeatable, marked by a gunmetal plate, customized with the name of the model and the sequential number, further stressing the exclusive nature of this exceptional item of furniture, designed specifically for those who see furnishing choices as a value to be handed down over time and for those who, by making an aware purchase wish to help the lives of others.

Bimax

BIMAX

Bimax represents an experience of life as well as contributing towards the trend of a pleasant home. Bimax achieves this by giving a variety of proposals in order to gather all environments and pull them together with a simple and elegant mood capable of being sober and transversal. Bimax does not impose a style but rather allows the individual the possibility of venturing in his desires and renders them visible.

Bimax – The Green Soul Environment

Bimax introduces the world to Biorovere. Bimax has taken the art of cabinet- making to a new level where they have taken the deep grain, the reassuring tones of real wood, the spirit and heart of oak wood and left the earth with its beauty.

Bimax has also adjusted the way in which they produce their lacquered products. Hydroline is an advanced technological system which uses water solvents in the lacquering process, this way reducing the environmental impact in a remarkable way. This ensures great benefits to the entire production of the range. The Hydroline technology guarantees results of high performance on the quality of the lacquering, both mat and gloss. Bimax does not only allow for the Green Footprint but high quality finishes as well. The lacquering process foresees a coating of high gloss lacquer subsequently buffed thus rendering the surface perfectly smooth. This process requires more time, effort, advanced technologies and skilled labour but produces a product no other can offer. The result is a smooth surface, free of impurities and resistant to aging phenomenons and yellowing of the lacquer.

Bimax offers a wide variety of colour options. The factory has allowed you to truly have the environment you are looking for. With the blends of fabrics, materials, colours and finishes Bimax is the representation of colour coordination. Creating original chromatic combinations, which attribute to a scenic effect to furniture and the home through the use of light and colour. In the “NIKI” range offered by Bimax there are four new Perlage Lacquered colours with a crystallized effect, differentiating Bimax once again from the competition. Living spaces have become areas allowing freedom of expression. The combinations of book shelves and modular elements give these spaces the character they need.

The Wall Of Art

The TU23 has been designed to feature in kitchens to compliment a simple layout with an island that stands out and becomes the focal point. Kitchens have become efficient, beautiful, clutter-free spaces which offer an inviting place for the entire family to meet, relax, work and entertain. Island kitchens are one of the most popular kitchen layouts, providing a practical and functional layout, especially when teamed with a bank of tall units with built in ovens / multi-functional ovens, tall fridges and freezers. When designed with all areas of preparation, washing and hob cooking in front of you, islands are easy to work around and also provide a very sociable way of cooking. Islands also work well in multi-functional living spaces, where there may be a combined living/dining room.

It was once believed that there must be a flow between the sink, oven, and refrigerator to create the kitchen triangle. This was suggested as the best kitchen layout for ease of cooking and working. While this may still be the general idea behind kitchen design, it has taken a more exact approach as homeowners seek better ways to create flow in the space. To create this “flow” most new kitchens are being designed to have large work areas suited to each need. Most modern kitchens are open and airy. They tend to flow naturally into other rooms, especially into a family room. There’s often no hard break between where one room ends and the other begins. Walls have been replaced with islands and tall storage units echo the scheme of the island in the background as a feature wall complimenting the island. The simple geometry of the TU23 hides all the inner workings of the kitchen, creating a clean, open environment.

The new trend is for the island to be in a different material to the tall units that are often in a natural or neutral tone. This enables the island to make more of a statement while the tall units blend in with furniture and colours elsewhere in the room. The kitchen forms an open plan view of smooth, uncluttered, uninterrupted surfaces, a kitchen that is functional yet minimalistic with tall units that frames the island. The TU23 brings an element of sophistication and elegance, like a piece of art against a wall complimenting the rest of the room.

Febal - System 22

Cherry
The Cherry range was designed using a combination of class and elegance, achieved by the distinct and unique way of matching wood textures and different volumes. The handle is a distinct and graphic element that enhances the model with a variety of different versions, creating single material or contrasting combinations with the doors: two dimension vertical styles, bridge and embedded. Cherry comes in lead grey, ash grey and white tinted oak finishes. The glossy lacquer finishes suggest original mix and matching with the new colours - cappuccino, cherry red, blue-grey and snow white, further to the 18 different coloured matt and glossy finishes

City
The City is a kitchen with a cosmopolitan feel and an urban soul, complimented with a minimal and streamline design reinforced by modular and clean-cut volumes with a strong emotional impact. Like in modern New York, the heights in the City line graze the ceiling with their 267 cm, the new tall units with receding doors allow for improved exploitation of space with compartments specifically designed to be transformed into containers for white goods and appliances, wine racks or other kitchen tools. The style is functional with a magnetic undertone highlighted by the structures surfaces and elements. The City comes in wood finishes ecru light oak, dark grey oak, white oak and sucupira marron glace and two plain colours - white and ivory and includes grooves with embedded handles.

I've always thought of “Febal kitchens” as the heart of a home, as model of cultural evolution combined with an aesthetic and functional development that goes hand in hand with the way contemporary living has changed. The kitchen is a private place to retreat to, where the division of spaces has changed profoundly over the years, creating common parts and merging with the living area. It is in this new arrangement that I always try to find new solutions and materials for Febal kitchens, to turn the kitchen into the leading light of the home. ” – Alfred Zegiaro (Designer of System22)
