Nothing is as expected or commonplace – the design and technical solutions break free of the consistency of today’s kitchens in a fascinating blend of contrast and simplicity crossing the line between tradition and innovation: high thickness doors fitting flush with the counter and blending into a single surface when closed, recessed tops for containing liquids, superlative quality, modern technical tops in stainless steel set in sunken surfaces, original oval cross section vertical handles defining the character of the doors. The wall units and columns in glass feature a highly decorative and distinctive transparent vase motif. A kitchen system of unmatched quality, with an elegant, sophisticated and original style, and creatively applied materials, such as the tiles used for the top, which were designed specifically for Etna and echo the colours, textures and flavours of Sicilian tradition. A system offering remarkable freedom to interpret and create designs with a bold personality to make your kitchen truly unique. 

 

 

ETNA offers high thickness doors of 27mm. The doors are available in matt scratch-resistant finish, glossy polyester finish or in a new heat-treated acaia wood. Die-cast metal handles with stainless steel finish and an exclusive oval cross section. Recessed worktops, with aluminium profile and inner surface in any of the materials offered in the Rossana counter range. Stainless steel counters delimiting and defining the work area, or new ultra-thin (4mm) stainless steel tops usable throughout the entire composition. An exclusively designed breakfast bar with a leg in 1 cm thick steel plate, available as either table height or worktop height variants to cater for all needs. “Immagine” glass – the heart of the Etna system, a decorative element contributing significantly to the character of the kitchen. “Immagine” glass is usable for both wall units and columns, and is available in two widths (45 and 60cm) and three heights (48, 60 and 72cm). Each different size features a different exclusive image.

Elegantly Kelly 2012

 

Kelly demonstrates a contemporary design of traditional inspiration, inspired by the past and reinterpreting it in a modern and refined way. The appeal to natural materials and craftsmanship is enhanced by the recovery of woven rattan, inserted in both the doors of the wall units and in the containment trays. The woven rattan is also used in the chairs and breakfast table which complement the overall kitchen.

 

An interplay of surfaces is seen through the use of the rounded workmanship on the framed doors and on the handles. The door's and handles constructive and decorative details enhance the stylistic inspiration through the use of cherry wood and ash wood. Even the extractor hoods which may be considered functional may also become particularly capable of intensely personalising the kitchen's ambiance. The units also lend themselves into living spaces creating a co-ordination with the kitchen space and perfectly integrating the two environments allowing for continuity and order.

 

Designed by architect Alfredo Zengiaro, the contrast and combination of the different elements create a union between diverse materials and modern colours; all combined to create ambiances that are personal and refined. The secret lies in knowing how to combine completely opposite elements creating an unmistakable look.

Rossana HT50 - The Portal Kitchen

Since its inception, Rossana has always been a leading player in the world of kitchens, and has understood and interpreted the changes in our lifestyle- those evolutionary shifts in our customs and habits which are reflected, often unconsciously, in our choices and homes. Designed by Massimo Castagna, HT50 revisits and modernises a theme that has always been particularly dear to Rossana - the concept of the portal kitchen, which gave rise to a number of superlative quality and highly successful products made by Rossana in the 1980s, and which has now practically vanished as a genre. The work area is conceived as a niche demarcated between the base units and wall units and as deep as the base units themselves, which forms a portal structure. The niche is furbished with under wall unit elements, open compartments, and counter top containers with coordinated finishes, to create individual functional areas. Pure, minimal and elegant styling, a widespread use of state-of-the-art servo-assisted door technology (with electrically motorised “push-pull” doors) and the use of only the highest quality materials are all trademark elements of the philosophy, aesthetic sensitivity and mission of Rossana, which come together to create something extraordinary that goes well beyond the simple concept of minimalism. The HT50 kitchen system also allows many other configurations - not necessarily based on the portal concept - enabling an outstanding degree of freedom to create tailor-made personalised solutions to suit any particular application, all of which with the superb functionality, aesthetics and quality typical of Rossana.

The “Interbase” zone is the most distinctive element of the HT50 system. Specific articles serving technical, storage and styling functions have been created to optimise the usability and enhance the character of this area. 

Another highly distinctive element in the HT50 system is the worktop. This blends into the front door of the base unit with a 45° bevelled edge to create a monolithic volume, an effect that is further emphasised by the entirely handle less solution.

Rossana HD23

Massimo Castagna, the designer of Rossana's HD23, reconsiders and develops the basic typology of the contemporary kitchen realising an original and innovative project that goes over the concept of a kitchen characterised by the door. The new project foresees base units with a low plinth and a big volume offering a great storage space, completed by many special components that, as objects, can be combined to the composition of the base units, proposing new meanings and functionality with a high degree of personalization.

HD23 is the basic typology of the contemporary kitchen reconsidered and updated by 

Massimo Castagna’s project. The square smooth door, lacquered or in wood veneer is available in three different opening systems: a groove, a recessed handle and an external handle, nevertheless the door is not the distinctive element of the kitchen, which finds its personality and character in the combination of uncharacteristic elements that, besides the base units, can be used to create the composition. The use of unique and original “Objects” with a strong personality, which can be freely combined to the composition of the base units, gives new meaning and character to each single project that becomes an articulated system. HD23 represents a new approach to the whole project of a kitchen composition extremely open to many adjustments, in order to simplify the task of each designer when he has to develop a new kitchen project. “Moto Peretuo” design is a continuous, unstoppable excitement of research and renewal, a plot in which everything changes and recreates the evolution of our lifestyles and the necessities of our living spaces, is the mirror of our life.

Marina Chic reveals itself in a new up-to-date look beginning with white and expressing itself fully in colour. It enriches lines by making use of the flashy gloss and the rigour of matt surfaces, together with new elegant or integrated handles. Marina Chic suggests innovative functional solutions that are both practical and elegant. Moreover it is a more economical choice from Febal as well as space-saving.

Designed by architect Alfredo Zengiaro, the Marina Chic model is versatile and has a wide range of functional and stylish elements interpreted by contemporary easy living styles. The new pull-out family dining table meets the demands to save on space or to incorporate the fixed table with a divider panel to help create free and fluid spaces. There are two new handles available; the first is in polished chrome and wavy in shape, the second is perfectly embedded within the door panel.
